Mike Brook
I am the Student Director at Saddleback San Clemente and I am so excited to be a part of this church and the lives of the students in the San Clemente area.
I was born in Covina, CA and grew up in Chino Hills CA. I have always loved sports and video games, and my favorite things to do is to surf and play Nintendo with friends.
My passion is for students to really get a grasp on who God is. I love to be able to witness those “Ah Huh” moments where God becomes real for them. I believe in the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), which is where Saddleback gets the 5 purposes for the church. With our lives we should Reach our friends and community to know and experience Christ, Connect with other believers, Grow in our faith in God, discover the way that we were shaped to serve others which is our Ministry and Honor God with our lives.
I also love questions. Questions are the backbone to helping faith grow, and I love a student with great questions that stretch them and me. I don’t always have the answers but love dialoguing through finding them.

- Did you live in a Dairy in Chino?
No… You could smell them at times, but never farmed or milked an animal.
- Do you have any brothers or sisters?
I have two younger sisters, and two younger brothers. I am the oldest of 5. It was a full house without the Uncle Jesse.
- Do you listen to music?
Love music, especially Mewithoutyou, Sufjan Stevens, Jack Johnson, and The Chariot
- Who is your favorite sports teams?
Dodgers baby. Watch as many games as possible on tv, but love going to them. Maybe it’s the rush of never really knowing if you will get out alive.
- If you could surf with anyone who would it be?
I would have to say Abe Lincoln. I wanna know if that beard would weigh him down.
- What is one thing no one would know about you?
I went through a very short phase of liking country music. It was very short, and something I would love to forget.
