Child Dedication
Child Dedication is truly a parent commitment service. It’s the parent’s promise to offer their child to the Lord and to dedicate themselves to rearing the child for the glory of God. “Children are a gift from God.” Psalm 127:2
Our Child Dedications are held twice a year on a Sunday after the 11:00 service . It is approximately an hour long ceremony which includes special music, a short message from Pastor Scott, a chance for all families to introduce themselves and their children, and a prayer of commitment and dedication. We have a photographer for family photos and lunch for all of our families and guests immediately following the 11:00 service.
We do highly recommend that parents are members of Saddleback Church. This means that both parents have taken class 101 and signed the membership agreement. CLASS 101 thoroughly explains the history of our church and what we believe.
Below are the Promises that as parents you will be committing to and please read over the difference between dedication and baptism.
