A key part of the rhythm section and harmonic structure of Music, Bass players are a crucial element of every band and always in demand!

From beginners to advanced levels, Private Bass lessons are tailored to the individual student.

If you're new to the instrument you can expect to start learning:

• Simplified bass lines
• Develop both right and left hand techniques
• Working with major and dominant scales to create your own bass lines
• Play & identify basic rhythms common too Pop / Rock / Blues

Group bass lessons are not offered at this time.

• Fretboard basics and tuning
• Basic open string chords and power chords
• Basic rhythms and strumming
• Introduction to chord charts

• Introduction to the pentatonic scale
• Ensemble Day-performing with drum class
• Classic guitar riffs
• More advanced rhythm
• Putting the pentatonic scale into action
• Beginning to improvise

PIANO 101

Mondays 5:30-6:20PM

For beginning piano students. In piano 101 students will learn to read music, play and write music notes on the staff. They will be able to play songs with both hands in just a few weeks.

The ability to make music is one of life’s great pleasures. music soothes the soul and offers an outlet for creative expression.

Piano Lessons at Saddleback School of Music and arts offers personal one on one attention so that the student is able to progress at his/her individual ability.

Learning piano teaches discipline and gives and opportunity for the student to develop essential life skills. In the process of mastering the instrument the student learns how to set goals and follow a plan to reach them.

Little Mozarts I

(Ages 4 - 6)

Designed to encourage a love for music in young children ages four to six, Little Mozarts is an imaginative series which teaches students how to sit at the piano, correct hand position, high and low, loud and soft, reading notation, plus impart an appreciation for many musical styles. Each course centers around the adventures of Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse.

LEARN TO PLAY IN A
WORSHIP BAND!

Private Keyboard lessons will teach you how to play piano or keys in a worship band in the same manner a guitarist learns to play chords.

IMPROVISE:

Emphasis will be on chords and how to improvise within a rhythm-section.

Most of the time, there is no written notated piano-music for playing in a worship band or other types of bands. That is why it’s important to be able to improvise while reading rhythm charts.

PREREQUISITE:

One year of piano lessons or equivalent (You should feel comfortable at the piano - not a total beginner). These lessons are geared towards Teens and Adults.

Youth Pop Vocals 101

Mondays 4:30-5:20PM

Do you wish you could sing like your favorite pop artist? If so, Popular Vocal Styles is the class for you.  Students will practice vocal exercises, increasing vocal agility, range and breathe support learning the foundations in healthy singing technique while singing their favorite songs. Private Voice Lessons

(Ages 8 - Adults)

In private voice lessons instructors work with individual students to learn classical singing technique which improves vocal strength, agility, range, tone, and resonance. Students will learn proper breathing technique and learn to maneuver through the register breaks from chest voice to head voice. Students will be coached through varying genres of music from Classical to Pop!

The Art & Craft of
Christian Songwriting

This 4 week workshop will teach students how to write a well-crafted song that people will want to sing. Students will learn some do’s and don’ts, and we will listen to and discuss songs written by the class members.

• Copyrights
• Royalties
• Performing

Maximum class size 12.
Adults only.
