House to House Gatherings are a fun place where single adults of all ages come together for social connection and to develop friendships. These gatherings consist of 30-40 single adults per home who meet five times over a three month cycle alternating Friday nights. These meetups occur in various homes throughout Orange County and include a time of engaging interaction and great conversation along with a biblical element. After you register, we will place you in a H²H Gathering based on your age and location. You will be contacted before the gathering with the location and additional details.

Hosting a H²H Gathering

Two individuals and a team of volunteers will lead each of our H²H Gatherings. These leaders are interviewed, equipped and directed by the H²H Coordinator. Minimum qualifications and expectations are listed below. Interested? Email JenniferC@Saddleback.com.

Qualifications for Hosts

• You are in a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• You are an official member of Saddleback Church
• You are in a small group
• You have the time, emotional capacity and moral discernment
• You are legally single

Expectations for Hosts

• Attend one H²H Host Leadership Training per cycle
• Meet with the H²H Coordinator as requested
• Facilitate all five H²H Gatherings

FAQs

What happens at the H²H Gatherings?
During each of the five gatherings, we focus on connection. The first part of the night is an unstructured social environment, including snacks, conversation, etc. The next portion of the night involves more structured interaction where everyone is part of smaller groups of six to eight people with conversation focused around the topic at hand which is guided by discussion questions.

What is the age range?
We have four age range categories of singles: 20s/30s, 30s/40s, 40s/50s, 50s/60s. We hope this will give you a chance to meet many people and build new friendships with those in an approximate stage of life.

Where do the H²H Gatherings meet?
Each H²H Gathering meets in a host home on the H²H Gathering night. We have found that the most comfortable place for singles to meet, connect and have conversations is in a casual home environment. The gatherings last around 1½ hours and are led by a trained host.
