Preparing to Go

The Global PEACE training process

Establish a Foundation

5 Team Gatherings that will begin 4 - 6 months before you go

As you prepare to serve in a global PEACE strategy, you and your team will complete PEACE Foundations training.

It is made up of 5 sessions which cover topics such as the values of PEACE, trip finances, how to serve in another culture and what to do on your trip.  The team leader facilitates these sessions and schedules them at a time that is best for the team.

Serve in Your Community

3 - 4 months before you go

To help build the strength of your team, you and your teammates will serve together in a one-time local opportunity.

Get the Skills

2 - 3 months before you go

At this point in the training process you and your team will learn how to address the specific area of PEACE that you will be focusing on.

The PEACE Skills training consists of many different modules your team will choose from, which includes topics such as: HIV/AIDS, Clean Water, Orphan Care, Literacy, Reconciliation and Reducing Poverty.

These modules will equip your team to empower your partner church to own and address specific issues within their church and community.

The Trip Leader will establish the purpose of the trip, which will determine what PEACE Skills module, should be taken.
