Leo Galarza

I am the Student Director at Saddleback Irvine and I am so excited to be a part of this church and the lives of the students in Irvine and the surrounding communities. 

I was born and raised in Cali, Colombia. I moved to the United States in 1999, I was 14 years old at the time. I had a difficult time due to the fact I did not know or understand any English.  That same year my friend Jhonathan invited me to church and I accepted Jesus into my life. I became really involved in church and God began changing my heart. My Youth Leaders and Youth Pastor made a huge impact in my life and I felt God was calling me to do the same in other students lives.

I am now married to my beautiful wife, Stacy and this past year God blessed us with our sweet daughter Skylar Grace.

My true passion is to see students understand the plan that God has for their lives. I love the way Paul encouraged Timothy to live his life even though he was young, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and purity” 1 Timothy 4:12. I believe that this generation is the church of today and that we will be the ones who are going to change this world.
