Friends-

It’s been more than 48 hours since we took a look at how God wants us to mend our messy relationships! Statistics show that when we review things within 48-72 hours we are FAR more likely to remember them, and in this case apply the learning’s to our lives. So, I hope this serves as a small reminder of what we talked about as well as an encouragement to keep moving forward.

I pray that each of you is continuing to work at your relationships, be it forgiving someone who has hurt you or approaching someone you have hurt and asking for their forgiveness. Remember that this is a process, it’s not something we are going to complete or perfect overnight and fortunately God isn’t looking for perfection, just the willingness to try. (Jesus says that with faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains! Matthew 17:20-21)

I know that some of us are dealing with incredible pain, and I am praying for you.  I prayed over each of those trash cans on Sunday night before I left, that all of us would allow Jesus to bear some of the pain and hurt we are experiencing because there is nothing He would love more than to walk side-by-side with you through both the tough times and the good ones. I also prayed that none of us would have messy moments like Noah, Cain, Lot, or Lot’s daughters! (seriously – if you’ve never done so, go read the stories in Genesis – you won’t believe what you are reading!) Beware of the temptation to party like a biblical rock star this week too – it will only lead to more pain!  Haha :)

In all seriousness though, I am so proud of the FUEL Community; for the steps of faith we took on Sunday night to begin the healing choice of reconciling the relationships in our lives that we know aren’t where God wants them. Together we put a smile on Jesus’ face and made steps towards living life as He intends for us to. Be blessed this week!
