Hello Fusers,

Last weekend was an incredible time of worship through prayer, through the message, through our hearts offering, and through song. Fields brought a message of how we can put into action our love as an act of worship constantly throughout the week and not just on the weekends. So I pray that you allow God again, to give you the courage to use you in love.

Anyway, I won't be leading worship through music this weekend because I will be at Alyssa's wedding who is getting married to Pat. This weekend Dominik, who is one of our interns will be leading. He is actually the German who either plays guitar or piano on stage, but he is also an incredible worship leader.

I wanted to write a quick blog about the FUSE service and its "worship". Please know this that "worship" is created for God, not for us. However, in gathering together we are building community and edifying the church. So I write this in hopes that we, who are coming to "worship", would not allow our hearts to be consumer worshippers.

That we don't come because of who is leading worship, or because of the topic or because of the songs we sing, or what the series may be, or even who the speaker is, but that we would come together to have open heart to allow God to mold us and work through us in the service together.

I also hope that our act of "worship" would be inviting friends to a safe place to see and to know God; that our "worship" is a place of building relationships into the body of Christ and therefore building community; that our worship is engaging in the services no matter who is on stage. So I pray that you would come to "church" with an open heart to God to move and mold you.

Taffy,
That is a good word! I just wanted to give an "AMEN" to that. Thank you.

Taffy,
I like your servents heart! Good stuff. Worship is praise for our Lord, not for our enjoyment. Thank God he lets enter into it with Him. We do enjoy the worship that all of your team offers. Thank you

Doug,
Love the addition of scripture from James 3, great stuff. Plus, the addition of the blessing to close us out. I think your heart is on the right track!!! I think the Spirit is guilding, Amen,

Matthew
