Description
While on earth, Jesus uttered two words that changed everything for those who responded to him. "Follow Me" was his simple invitation. Fishermen dropped their nets to learn what following Jesus was all about. People left homes, jobs, family and everything they had ever known to be close to him. Thousands of years later, Jesus is offering this same invitation to follow him. But what would it look like for someone to follow Jesus in 2012? What would make that person different from everyone else? What is following Jesus really about?
It takes time away to hear God's call to be set apart. It takes time away to hear and respond to his inviation to follow him. This Labor Day Weekend, we will leave the comforts of home and the mainland to explore together what following Jesus really means.
While in the beautiful setting of Catalina, we'll enjoy extended times of prayer and worship together, hear from engaging speakers and have a ton of fun playing in the ocean. The camp offers snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, hiking, shuffle board, and more for our free time activities.
