Certification

We determined that too often a conference is perceived by church leadership as a trip

At the 2010 Community U Small Group conferences, Small Group Point Leaders can bring back tangible recognition from their participation in Community U through an optional, no additional cost, Certification program.

To be eligible for certification a registered attendee of the Prime Track must successfully complete an online examination within two weeks of attending the conference. The examination will measure retention and understanding of key principles in starting and growing healthy small group ministries.

Upon successful completion of the exam, the attendee will receive a certificate of competency, recognizing the recipient’s comprehension of essential small group health and growth principles.

Certification is also optionally available for the Advanced Planning Track and the Advanced Breakthrough Track. To achieve certification in the Advanced Planning Track a registered attendee must submit the 12-18 month strategic action plan developed during the conference for review by the Community U faculty. Upon successful review, a certificate of competency will be awarded.

Certification in the Advanced Breakthrough Track involves a practicum element implementing the breakthroughs techniques developed at the conference and then reporting on their effiency. After review by the Community U faculty a certificate of competency will be awarded to successful efforts.
