Saddleback Church’s Communications Ministry plays an important role in the development of communications pieces that shape the messaging of our church, including graphics, editorial, Web, print, formatting, curriculum, social media, video, and more. It’s a busy place to not only be on staff, but also to volunteer – just ask Stuart Ramsey.
“Over the past two years, I’ve helped to develop several Saddleback studies by converting them into an application that can be used worldwide,” exclaimed Stuart.
For example, Stuart has converted the original format of Rick Warren’s book,
Purpose Driven Church, into a Microsoft Word format. This newly reformatted and re-laid document has been shipped to countries, Greece in particular, where it can be opened and translated into a new language, all the while maintaining the
Purpose Driven “look.”
Prior to working with the Communications Team, Stewart served Class 301 by setting up and tearing down tables and chairs, not to mention feeding hungry class attendees. But the highlight of Stuart’s ministry career at Saddleback was when he met his wife, Ofelia, while serving in the Usher Ministry. They began ushering church services together, husband and wife.
“Meeting my wife at Saddleback was a testament of God’s faithfulness in my life, a true God moment,” expressed Stuart. “I love waking up each day feeling honored to be a child of God and knowing that everything I do in life really matters.”
Philippians 2:3, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves,” has truly made an impact on Stuart’s love for ministry. Stuart will continue to view his volunteer work as amazing opportunities to serve others without selfishness.
If you want to find out your SHAPE for ministry, our next Class 301 is
coming up this Sunday, August 8.
