Hey, Saddleback Rancho Capistrano! What a weekend! We had 3 people publicly announce their decision to accept Jesus as their personal savior by getting baptized! Congratulations James, Michelle, and Ana! It was great having so many of our church family out there to support these folks! We even had a cool surprise visit from Pastor Tom! I am also so excited to let you know that tonight during KSG (Kids Small Groups) we baptized 9 kids and one parent...WAHOO! I want to remind you that we baptize after ANY service and have everything you need; shirts, shorts, towels, hair dryer, um...hair gel, hair spray...wait, maybe the last two is just me. :-) Well, the point is we have everything you need so if you have accepted Jesus as your savior but have yet to be baptized don't put it off any longer. Let's make this weekend that time!...

Hey, Saddleback Rancho Capistrano, What a weekend! I am excited to share with you that last weekend we had 138 people literally stand and accept Jesus as their personal Savior! That is 138 lives that are now FOREVER changed! I loved how we were all there together to cheer on those who prayed that prayer for the first time. Our entire worship center was filled with genuine excitement and love for one another. Last weekend was another example that is a church family who loves God...and each other! ...

Hey, Saddleback Rancho Capistrano! I have talked with several of you and, like me, when you first heard about what happened in Boston this week you immediately started praying. Let’s continue to pray for all of the lives that have been affected in this tragedy. Let's also keep Pastor Rick, Kay, and their entire family in our prayers as they continue to grieve the loss of a son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and cousin. There is comfort in knowing Matthew is in Heaven and they will see him again, but this is still a very difficult season for the family so let's continue to show our love and support by standing with them, holding them up in prayer. Let's NEVER underestimate the power of prayer! Prayer is not the last option when all else fails. Talking to God is the first thing we need to do, trusting that with Him ALL things are possible! ...

Hey, Saddleback Rancho Capistrano! WHAT AN EASTER! I would like to first begin by thanking all of you who volunteered to set up and serve at all three of our Easter services! YOU WERE AMAZING! We had volunteers serving days before Easter; like setting up tons of chairs, all the activities for the kids, and stuffing 2,000 bulletins (which by the way we needed ALL of them). Then on Easter, every single one of you who volunteered played such an important role including our Traffic Ministry parking hundreds of cars safely! In fact, I had one person who came for the first time and asked me who we contracted for traffic because they were so good. I loved being able to tell her that this is one of our ministries and these awesome volunteers are using the gifts God gave them to serve others...like you. She smiled and said, "Wow, well I can already tell just by driving up the hill this is a very loving church." How cool is that! I love that a first time visitor already knows how this church loves, even before they get out of the car!...

Saturday March 30 - No Saturday Night 5:00 Service Easter Sunday March 31 - 7:00 a.m. Live Easter Sunrise Service overlooking the lake! This will be a family service where the children and parents will all sit together. For this service our Children's Director, Tammy Roland has put together some really cool Easter goodie bags! Hey, Saddleback Rancho Capistrano! Thanks everybody for your prayers because I did it...I made it ALL weekend taking care of the girls all by myself! I am happy to report everything went great with zero issues! Unless of course you count accidentally locking the babies in the car (with the keys in the car) oh and that thing with the carpet...but hey it was time to replace the carpet anyway. ;-) I really appreciated all the kind messages and helpful tips for my daddy weekend. Now that I am an experienced dad I would like to give back with a helpful experiment of my own. I figured, since bathing and laundry takes so much time why not combine them by giving your baby a bath with their clothes on! Now, there are still a few bugs to work out; like I haven't quite figured out the drying process but I'm still working on it. Parents, no need to thank me for this gem of an idea. Anything for my family! :-)...
