Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1 (NIV)

We know that as followers of Christ that our lives are acts of worship. But how about your small group? How do you include worship in your small group?

Here are some ideas:

Pick one person in your group to be the worship champion. Look for someone who likes to sing and is also comfortable praying out loud. Give them the Worship CD from Don’t Lead Alone, the free CD set that you get by attending Leadership Training 1. And then let them come up with worship ideas for the group. You’ll be surprised at how your group will quickly become a more worshipful group.

Have the group buy a couple of video DVDs with praise songs and lyrics. iWorship@Home from Integrity Music has some great ones. Then just pick a couple of songs, play them on the TV and let the group sing along. The videos are very nice, the words to the songs are right on the screen and the music is wonderful.

Serve communion in your small group. We posted an article on this last year with simple steps on serving communion.

We'll have more ideas in the future. If your small group has some great worship habits, share them by commenting to this post.

Or if you have a Tivo, you can always access youtube from there and choose any worship songs you prefer. We use most of the songs sung by Saddleback Worship team. And if you have a youtube account, you can create a playlist so that you could access your files and play them via Tivo easily.
