Fighting addictions is not easy. The battle at times does not seem winnable. Ephesians 6:10-20 talks about the real battle is not only physical, but spiritual (read Be Ready for an Attack). I want challenge our online community to believe in the power of God's Word as Pastor Rick has been talking about in this current series ( watch the series now).
Truths to hold on to during the battle:1. You are loved. If you believe in God you can have confidence you are his child through Jesus ( Don't Know God?). 2. You have the resource. Galatians 5:16-25 talks about the power of Holy Spirit is present to help combat your addictions. 3. You are not alone. The early church is a perfect example of fighting battles with others. You need to be in an Online Small Group. 4. You need to connect with God. Ephesians 6:17 talks about the "sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God' as being a tool we use to fight battles. Daily find time to connect with God through talking with him and reading the Bible.
