My name is Terry and I am a moderator for Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. I connect to Saddleback's Internet Campus, because of the odd hour shifts I work and the fair amount of travel involved. I frequently tune into one of the many online services each week, because I usually have an internet connection wherever I am. Saturday evenings at 6:30 p.m. seem to usually work for me; I make friends with people who attend that service on a regular basis online and volunteer to serve wherever they need help by using the online response card.
The online training is minimal, yet the blessing is tremendous. I moderate from my home in the Santa Barbara area and from hotel rooms in Fresno, Arlington, and Maryland. I appreciate the worship and benefit from the teachings at Saddleback. The friendships I make with the Saddleback Church Family is such an encouragement for me. Now I have a blast connecting with God and others from around the world once a week and serve in an area of ministry that makes God and I smile; you can do this too. It is fun, meaningful, low maintenance, gives one a sense of belonging to a family of fellow believers, and the opportunity to be used by God to help reach the lost and encourage the found. Give it a free "test drive" by volunteering today. You will not regret it! Email Jayk@saddleback.com if you would like to serve online.
