God is about your heart not your location in the world. 1 Samuel 16:7 says, “But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’”
God cares about our heart being focused the right things. David says in Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
David says this after sleeping with another man’s wife THEN getting that man killed. I don’t know about you but that’s pretty bad stuff. David, you, and I know that we don’t always do the right things (maybe not murder, but we do put our desires above God's calling on our life). We struggle because we have a pulse. We struggle because we are human, but God says there is hope that we can live for Him. Even David (remember the murder from above) was able to live for God and overcome his horrible situation. If David can then you can.
How to Get 2 Corinthians 3:18 Done
Start listening to God.
Ask God for help.
Know God will give you the power to fight (Hebrews 4:16).
Be all in (Romans 6:17).
