When you were born, Microsoft was two kids in a hotel room, the United States and the Soviet Union were still engaged in a Cold War and television only had three channels. The 12 button calculator you used in elementary school is more powerful than the computer on board the Apollo spacecraft when we landed on the moon. The cell phone in your pocket right now is about a thousand times more powerful than that calculator and the daily viewership of CBS, NBC and ABC is dwarfed by that of Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. These websites were created within the last 7 years.
God created a changing world. “As long as the earth remains, there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night.” Genesis 8:22 Not all of the changes that we see in our lives are earth shattering, not every change leads to a war, or new technology, or poverty or wealth. Many changes are as simple as a new friendship, as demoralizing as the loss of a job or as beautiful as new life. But through every change we have the opportunity to accept God's desire to help us grow. “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
God created us. He brought us here together and he wants the best for us. He loves us so much that he gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we may be united with Him. So, we trust in Him. “But, God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 4:22
In the changing of the tide, the roaring of the wind, and the pounding of the earth. We trust in Him. In both the rise and fall of nations, the expansion and collapse of business, and the joy and sorrow of our hearts. We trust in Him. In our greatest accomplishments and in our darkest moments we trust in Him.
Leave a comment and tell us about a change in your life that led you to grow!
Blessings,
