For years, many chocolate companies have committed to ending child labor, forced labor, and trafficking in their cocoa supply chains, but labor rights abuse continues. The Hershey Company has no policies in place to trace its cocoa and protect workers.
It’s time for Hershey to be a leader in sustainable chocolate and shift toward Fair Trade Certified cocoa!
Join with Saddleback Church's Justice and Trafficking Initiative to take part in a petition this Valentine's month. Hershey's is one of the biggest chocolate companies in America and is known for purchasing cocoa from farms that are involved with child trafficking. The Raise the Bar Campaign is having supporters send out postcards to the CEO, David West, demanding that Hershey's take responsibility for working to eliminate forced and child labor on cocoa farms.
Grab a postcard from the info booth at Crave this week to sign, stamp, and send in!!
