National Human Trafficking Awareness Day - Symposium

Modern day slavery is an estimated $9 billion global business. Over 27 million women, men, and children are victimized. Learn how the church, working through ordinary people, can respond to this man-made tragedy.

Saddleback Rancho Capistrano will host a free, 2-day National Human Trafficking Awareness Event on January 11-12, 2013.

Friday (1/11) will be a PRAYER VIGIL from 7pm-8:30pm in the
      Rancho Chapel.
Saturday, (1/12) will be a SYMPOSIUM from 8:30am-12:30pm.

Saturday's featured speakers are:
      • Kay Warren, Co-Founder Saddleback Church
      • Sheila Houston, Founder, “Rare Coins Ministries”
      • Harmony Dust, Founder & Executive Director, “Treasures”
      • Sandra Morgan, Director, Global Center for Women &
        Justice (Vanguard University)
      • Nita Belles, Author, “In Our Backyard,” a Christian
        Perspective on trafficking in the US

The speaker's breakout session topics will showcase involvement, opportunities to outreach, and prevention:
      • Church Involvement: How to start a Human Trafficking
        Ministry
      • The Frontline in the Battle against Human Trafficking
      • Psychological Chains: Exploring the Psycho-Social
        dynamics of sex trafficking and the tactics pimps and
        traffickers use to manipulate victims
      • Why restoring men involved in pimping is important
      • Fighting Human Trafficking at the Super Bowl and other
        Events
